Videmo Intelligente Videoanalyse

Videmo Intelligente Videoanalyse is a private company providing innovative software systems and solutions for automatic image and video analysis. Videmo was founded in 2008 as a spin-off of the University of Karlsruhe, now Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), with which it maintains a strong R&D cooperation.

Videmo's main area of expertise is the creation of software solutions for face detection, analysis and identification, as well as for character and sign recognition. For this, the company builds on a catalogue of own, in-house developed algorithms and techniques, which are constantly being improved and provide optimal results even under difficult conditions or with low resolution images. Videmo's solutions are applied in multiple domains, including the surveillance and security sector, biometrics for access control, market research through anonymous statistics, digital signage and multimedia analysis. Integrated systems and products are offered through a wide range of international partners, not just in Europe, but also in the USA and Japan. Videmo develops and sells own facial recognition and analysis solutions, in various domains. One example in the market analysis sector is the use of Videmo's face recognition for anonymous customer analytics. An example in the security sector is biometric face verification for outdoor access control of truck drivers to high security sites.
